Dentures and bridges

Fixed and removable dentures to chew and smile comfortably again.

What it is

A prosthesis replaces missing teeth. It can be fixed, like a crown or a bridge, or removable, so you can take it out to clean it. It can also be attached to implants, so that it sits more firmly. We do the fittings needed so that it is comfortable and looks natural.

How it works

  1. 1

    Assessment

We look at your teeth and gums and explain which types of prosthesis are possible.

  2. 2

    Impressions and records

We record the shape of your mouth and your bite, so the prosthesis is made to measure.

  3. 3

    Fittings

We try the prosthesis before it is finished and adjust what is needed.

  4. 4

    Getting used to it

We fit the prosthesis, explain how to clean it and check the fit over the following weeks.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get used to a new denture?

Usually a few weeks. In the first days there may be sore spots; we adjust the denture at the review appointments.

Should I sleep with my removable denture in?

Generally not. Taking it out at night lets the gums rest. Clean it every day.

This information does not replace an appointment. Results vary from person to person and depend on the dentist's assessment.
