Orthodontics
Fixed braces, tooth-coloured braces or clear aligners, for children and adults.
What it is
Orthodontics corrects the position of the teeth and the way they bite together. Straight teeth are easier to clean and help you chew better. There are several options: metal fixed braces, tooth-coloured fixed braces or clear aligners, which you take out to eat. We choose with you the one that best suits your case and your daily life.
How it works
- 1
Orthodontic assessment
We examine your teeth and bite and take the X-rays and records needed.
- 2
Plan
We explain which appliance we recommend, how long treatment should take and what it costs.
- 3
Treatment
Adjustment appointments, usually once a month.
- 4
Retention
At the end, a fixed or removable retainer keeps the teeth in place.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an age limit for braces?
No. Adults can be treated too, as long as their gums and bone are healthy.
How long does treatment take?
Usually 18 to 36 months. It depends on the case and on keeping appointments and following the care at home.
Do braces hurt?
In the first few days you may feel some pressure. That is normal and usually passes quickly.
This information does not replace an appointment. Results vary from person to person and depend on the dentist's assessment.
